ARCH GLOBAL TRIP 2016 BLOG DAY ONE: May 1
Cooper:
The first day of the trip has turned out to be quite the adventure! After a 1
hour wait on the San Diego runway due to "technical difficulties,"
American Airlines finally had us get off the plane just to re-board an hour
later. Because of this setback we missed our connecting flight to
Barcelona, so the airline was kind enough to reroute us to London Heathrow
airport, where we are currently waiting for our final flight to Barcelona. Ever
vigilant, our students maintained a more than positive outlook throughout the
whole process. Life truly is an adventure! Chip for one was very excited to
visit London, if only for two hours in the airport; Matt managed to find some
Ben and Jerry's ice cream in the airport, which he swears is better than it is
in the United States. While we are all of course tired and jet lagged, everyone
has been on their best behavior and we cannot wait to be in the great city of
Barcelona in just a few short hours. Life may have thrown us a few curveballs,
but if I've learned anything in the past 20 or so hours it's that these kids
can handle anything life throws at them!
Thank you Cooper, Taylor, Heather, Eric, Drew, Beth, and Cheryl for taking the group to Spain and having an adventure! Everything is going well back here, and I'm hoping you and the kids are having an amazing time together! Have a great day, and Namaste. -Faith

Today has been a sunny and quiet day. Each of us has set a goal for mod work completion. Yea for accomplishments. We enjoyed your first day of comments. Hopefully, most of you are recovered from jet lag, and you are beginning to feel alive again. Lin has created a "Critical Thinking" time in our day as well as some physical activity to keep us awake and energized. Miss all of you. It is 3 pm here. That means all of you are probably asleep and dreaming of your next exciting adventure. Take care. Lin
