First day on a non-stop flight
On our first day, our first flight was canceled because the navigation of the
plane. On our second flight, we missed our flight again because our first
flight that had navigation. I watched some movies in the plane. I watched
Aliens and Star Wars. I saw only part of the being of the movie Aliens because
I have to sleep on the plane and we flight took off last night. Our second
flight was in London and we’re trying to go to Barcelona but we missed our
flight because we didn’t get in time. Right now we’re going to Barcelona at
1:40. I’m sorry about our first day to Spain and France. I hope you're doing
good at school and you’ll be going to New York soon.

God bless, and dam American Airlines
Yester day when it was time to get on our flight the airplane broke. So we did not get to leave until after ten. I was so mad. But the one positive thing is I got to see the person with light up sticks guide the plane which was cool. On the flight to new york, I sat with chip. I enjoyed it. One thing that got me, and drew even more mad was new york would not let us on the flight to spain, so we are now in London. Maybe we might just stay and swim the English channel again! Sadly we are at the London air port. Our flight does not leave until 2:30 today. This means that when we get to spain we will chill, have dinner, go to bed, and then my most faviorte part on global trips will at last be back again. That waking up and going to the dinning hall, and eat a lot of good food. We mist two flights to spain. Drew and I both said American airlines hates us. At least were going to spain which is great. I am so happy. I have not been as negative on this trip. Diana has been very kind to me on this trip. I just am so happy I will be in eroupe for two weeks. I miss my mully dog.

Mike the Baggage Mover
Flights get delayed. And life is a lot harder when you are a big group. This morning I had breakfast in San Diego, Lunch in New York, and dessert in London. I am so grateful to all of the staff members for not just giving up on the trip when our first flight got delayed. And now after a long day of sleep deprivation, ghastly airplane food, and bells of mindfulness we are finally in Barcelona (just kidding were in London, thank you American Airline!) Eric looks very American with his cowboy hat. I want to thank Drew, Beth, Heather, Eric, Taylor, Cooper, Noah and most importantly my buddy in the buddy system Cheryl!
Hope to be in Barcelona soon.

Don't worry, we will be there soon.
Hello everybody, I hope all is well back at home. We started out well, we got to the plane on time and waited for the plane to take off. That's when it went south. The plane was delayed due to maintenance, however after an hour we had to leave the plane, we then had to wait for 3 hours before we could get back on a plane that would take off. We then found out that we are making an extra stop in London. During the time we waited we did have fun. We played cards, did yoga and headstands, and meditated. I'm grateful for Cooper, Cheryl, Beth, Drew, Heather, Taylor, and Eric. Without them we would not be on this trip making memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Chip:
Today was a pretty fun and tiring day. I will start by telling all of the
tiring stuff first so that this thing can end on a good note. When we went to
the San Diego air port, we didn't get to leave at the time we wanted due to
technical difficulties. We waited another few hours but I got to get Jack in
the Box. Yeah!!!! There was no movie on the plane to JFK, instead some dumb NBC
doctor show. Booooo!!!! And I guess that's all the tiring stuff so on to the
good stuff. I got to see New York which was totally gnar! A New York native sat
next to me and pointed out all the sites from the plane. I was really excited
to be in the JFK airport because there was an episode of Seinfeld in JFK. When
we went on the plane to London, I saw Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein. Gene
Walker is pretty awesome! I was really excited to see London since I've never
been there. It's nice and cold and I like that. I'm having a lot of fun with my
fellow peers and all the staff. I'm really grateful for Eric, Drew, Cooper,
Beth, Heather, Taylor, Cheryl, and John. All of them are amazing and very
patient people. I've got to go cause Diana is rushing me. Bye!!!
ARCH GLOBAL TRIP 2016 BLOG DAY ONE: May 1
Cooper:
The first day of the trip has turned out to be quite the adventure! After a 1 hour wait on the San Diego runway due to "technical difficulties," American Airlines finally had us get off the plane just to re-board an hour later. Because of this setback we missed our connecting flight to Barcelona, so the airline was kind enough to reroute us to London Heathrow airport, where we are currently waiting for our final flight to Barcelona. Ever vigilant, our students maintained a more than positive outlook throughout the whole process. Life truly is an adventure! Chip for one was very excited to visit London, if only for two hours in the airport; Matt managed to find some Ben and Jerry's ice cream in the airport, which he swears is better than it is in the United States. While we are all of course tired and jet lagged, everyone has been on their best behavior and we cannot wait to be in the great city of Barcelona in just a few short hours. Life may have thrown us a few curveballs, but if I've learned anything in the past 20 or so hours it's that these kids can handle anything life throws at them!
